23 Year Industry Veteran Brings Leadership and Technology Experience to Market Leader
Cupertino, CA, June 23, 2005 - KNOVA Software (OTC Bulletin Board: KNVS), a leading provider of service resolution management applications, announced today that Tom Muise, 46, will join the Company as chief financial officer effective June 23, 2005.
"Tom brings more than 23 years of experience in finance and operations to KNOVA and a deep understanding of the software industry," commented Bruce Armstrong, CEO of KNOVA. "As KNOVA's CFO, Tom will bring the leadership, financial discipline and planning expertise necessary to continue to lead the Service Resolution Management market."
Muise's prior experience includes serving as chief financial officer and vice president of operations for Embrace Networks, an enterprise software platform provider, and as chief financial officer and vice president of finance of Solopoint, a provider of marketing technologies and communications services for the broadband market. Prior to these positions, Mr. Muise served as senior director, corporate financial planning, analysis and systems for Synopsys, a supplier of electronic design automation. Mr. Muise served in various finance positions for Tandem Computers during his 12 years of service to the company, last serving as director of finance, nonstop software business unit.
Muise graduated cum laude from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor's degree in economics and earned his master of business administration from the University of Michigan.
